You can get more patterns from the artisan trainer in Thunder Bluff, usually more every 5-10 levels.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.
I'm stuck at 225 fishing, cooking, first aid and not far off 225 leatherworking. All need quests to progress past this point. The quests are all set at lvl 45 estimate.
It seems in order to get the quests you go to your original trainer for first aid and fishing (uncertain of leatherworking atm), they send you to another bloke to pickup the quest.
My question is this:
If I must be lvl 40 to get my original trainer to give me the first quest does this mean if I go to the new direct I can't start the artisan quest until I hit lvl 40?
Some people have suggested you can start the quests at lvl 35 instead. Is this true?

When you get level 35 you can go to the next level of of your skills (artisan - above 225). For leatherworking this just involves going to the trainer in Feralas and learning Artisan Leatherworking, for First Aid you need to do a mini quest in Hammerfall in the Arathi Highlands, this quest can be done by anyone lvl 35+, as long as your first aid skill is high enough. I don't know about fishing though.
