Earthshaker set is 2nd best set, Ten storms is the best one, either way both involve running Molten Core/Onyxia like 25+ times to get the drops and you better pray you get good rolls...

    Blimey it looks good...

According to the new patch notes we can just get our rank up to warlord and then keep our items even if we lose rank Probably easier to just spend that time in MC to get the drops from there, assuming you have enough people to do it with.

E.g compare some of Umbrage's players with Jobie, he has 2-3 epic set pieces (he's General rank now!) from PvP and it's about the same on average for Umbrage players with their PvE sets.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

It's mail. All class epic sets are the appropriate type of armour for the class.
As for PvP set, the PvE stuff is likely to be better especially with the addition of BWL allowing full access to the tier 2 epic set (ten storms for shaman).

Problem is, once you get to keep the kit......... there will be a lot more people fighting for the same ranks etc

This will cause a spike in PvP activity, lots of people will try and get the rank to buy the items, then stop PvPing like mad once they have these items. But as Butcher says, the PvE items will be better, not so much loaded with stamina, but better over all IMO. This requires MC and BWL raids though, and we all know how easy that is ...

    MC isn't that hard.
