The main problem is to get anywhere in the game you have to put up with years of mind numming boredom. Ive played the trial and it was only slighly better than Gunz online, and that was the worst game ive played in a long while.

EVE is excellent, however ive just cancelled my sub which runs out in 3 days, simply because im stuck in a stupid rut and ive accomplished a whole lot of my original goals (piloting an Apoc etc.).

Ill no doubt sign back up again though.

    BTW, PA FOREVER!

Hi there, yeah DW i heard of you cats
Trippledence, here is the story of my latest sub to Eve.

I had a brand new newb character and looked for a corp to join while i did the newb mission stream (you get a few nice things to do leading to a reasonably valuable implant as a newbie).

I found a likely looking smallish empire corp and asked them to join . Had a nice chat with a dude called BrainBasher (of all things) and joined up.

The corp were mining that evening and i got some miners fitted and headed over. Remember this was still day 1. I mined with 2 miner 1s and a slightliy upgraded frig for a few hours while chatting with these dudes in their large mining barges and battleships as we cleared a couple belts.

Long story shory, by end of first day I had like 5-10 new friends and around 7 million isk in credits. We split the mining profits EVENLY and those guys had pro miner setups you see....

All that 'money' was enough for around 30 of the best frigates in the game, or a cruiser (which i couldnt fly yet lol), or a LOT of useful stuff for a newb like me. So to avoid the hard work at the beginning, my tip is to make friends quickly. I regularly give ISK to newbs i meet and chat with now, as do many others.

The game aint boring dude, its just big...

EDIT: i hope you got capital ships level 5 training then if you canceled your sub :/

I have recently returned to EVE myself and I am finding it alot of fun but its also alot of information to take in. I have managed to re activate my old character so he already has alot of training but I am finding it hard to remember what it all does. The game also looks lovely and the ship designs are amazing.

Eve is cracking. You can't help but keep coming back to it. And some of the new ships are brilliant. The new freighters are gargantuan. If any players fancy hooking up, give us a shout. Me handle's "Marquis Zenas"

Seem to remember someone set up a hexus corp ages back. Wonder if it's still going?

im in under Mardrek flying around alittle. managed to fully outfit the rifter aswell to what i think is fine for what i can get / use anyway.

On my 2nd day of ever playing tho i was doing a mission (think it was one of the new starting storyline ones) and i jumped into a system and apeared infront of an apocalypse battleship :s needless to say it was piloted by one of the mafia pirates and i died... very quickly...

saw a signpost for a uk corp (link ) and there site sounds like they'd be a good lot anyway. havnt decided if this is another game i want to try and take up tho. iv got the month free when i got the game (which game sell for £4.99 btw) but with wow,bf2 and gw and il2 that i need to get into again...*shrug*
