Talking GW Update : Grenths Footprint

Me and my trusty henchies went out on a little trip to Grenths Footprint this morning ! At long last they have streamed the update to all of us players !

Havnt come across any encampments or towns yet so if you die you end up with major DP in time or its back to Camp Rankor to start over. Hope they incoporate a small town or something to cut down on road travel.

Anyhows, got a few rather nice screenies from Grenths Footprint :

Head north from Camp Rankor (which in turn is north from Droknars Forge or you can go from Iron Mines of Moladune east to get there) Then take west into Snake Dance and head north. You will go through a tunnel guarded by Mountain Trolls take the left path once you come out the other side and follow it round northwards which leads you to Grenths Footprint the free update.

Heres an updated game map :

Just noticed that the war camp has actually got a stop off point, need to get to there as a base of operations !

So has anyone found out what the changes to the guild screen are about yet, looks like there might be a guild money pot on there!

Have you found any new items out there yet ferral?

I only played for about 20 mins to scope it out, make sure you take a few Shiverpeak and Mine keys though which can be bought from the merchant at Camp Rankor (Sure they must have a Star Wars fan doing the coding with that name ! ) I came across a few Shiverpeak chests that require a key to open them, I only opened one as that was the only key I had and I got a gold smiting rod from it.

Think there are now "green" items in these new areas which are rare than rare to be one above gold items

Edit: It appears from my research that that little money icon on the guild menu is to do with having to PAY MONEY to recruit guild members

you now need keys to get into chests, and there are good items in there. ive done some questing to the furnace, out of the war camp...seems pretty cool. its full of guards and people on your side. you get a quest from a guy outside the war camp, and he tells you to talk to 5 or so different people, each of those give you diff quests inside the furnace. ive done the first guys quests, which werent that hard.

its seems quite cool, but you need a decent party...we died about 4 or 5 times in there.

came across a boss (i tihnk) a lvl28 flame person who does 400dmg in one hit, so take those prot monks with you! as far as i saw you cant get any skills of her though

We should really organise a nice big guild outing into the furnace for like tomorrow or soonish... I know for a fact that we got a reasonable number of guildies who have reached Deldrimmor war camp, as Yohji, Tiek, and me got there together, plus Ferral, and idimmu obviously have too... would be good fun really...

I still need to actually get to the war camp as I only played for arouind 20 mins this morning, going to head there either tonight or first thing as you need a base of operations instead of loads of long distance travel

I got my first green item tonight, pretty crap to be honest, no use to a warrior at all, I decided to sell it to a merchant as it wasnt recognised as rare material or anything else and only got 50 gold for it !

Done my first quest in Sorrows Furnace, was the dwarf thats near the camp and you have to help him kill a boss deep within the Furnace. He goes rushing off and you have to follow him and keep him alive, he keeps shouting his name which gives you loads of extras as its some sort of shout, 50% on movement, adrenaline recharge and skill recharge, I was stringing together some wicked combos due to the recharge time and the enemies were dropping like flies ! Finished the quest with +6 % morale boost, really enjoying it !

Wonder where these Titan quests are (They continue the story after Hells Precipice apparently), supposed to be able to get them at Droknars Forge but cant find anyone offering them yet. Wonder if you have to complete all quests at Grenths Footprint and Sorrows Furnace to make them available ? I did read somewhere they are available to players who have finished ALL the missions ingame (which I have) so anyone else found them yet ?

A quick screenie from inside Sorrows Furnace for anyone that hasnt been in there yet, it looks amazing (BTW, yes I did take henchies and suceeded ! ) :
