GW crashing

I've been trying to get back into GW, but tevery time I start playing it crashes telling me I've got an overheating CPU or memory...??? Considdering I've got an opteron 150 running stock @ 35c and more fans than u can poke a stick at is beyond me. I've gone thro all the background tasks & turned them off one by one, all the usual stuff.

It 'used to work' Will try re-install of GW and/or XP if need be. I will not be beaten!

My GW has a crashed a few times, but never due to overheating..

EDIT: And my OCed Venice gets close to 50c.

My Barton core XP 2500+ runs at around 40 C and my 6600GT AGP runs at around 61 when gaming, pretty strange that.

Possibly try changing you're vga drivers and motherboard drivers, may be something being misread by the program.

Yeah me and Yohji were kicked off the game before just as we were changing area's, got a net error 13 or something...

About the crashing I would suggest check all drivers are updated...

This might actually be one of the rare crash bugs that have been getting repaired alot lately, give it a shot with the suggestions we have made and if not send an email to them so they can look into it. Do it via the support page at www.guildwars.com

ironically, my crashes only really started the other day when they updated it...one of the updates was supposedly fixing the rare crash bugs. if it does it again, ill go fill in a form.

Form filled.
Used to work fine, but I know using an Opteron rig with ECC reg ram is an unusual setup. I'll see if I have any half decent gfx cards to put in my P4 shuttle & try running it off that machine.
