Hold Up on your Hardware Upgrades, Pilots

Dunno how many of you read theHexus News Page....but you should today

Ryzard has reviewed the new Rad 9600 XT which is a new player in the "ready to overclock" stakes.....and while it is a fantastic card....

he also used a sightly "non-retail" version of another board to compare it too.

So read between the lines, its not too subtle, so you'll all suss it....but theres a new card from the opposition due to arrive...and by all accounts it rocks even BIGGER BELLS.

    http://www.hexus.net/content/reviews...lld19JRD02NDQ=

It should be on sale quite soon, and if I understand correctly, it wil be sensible price (sub £200) and SHOULD benefit us all in overclock stakes AND it should drop other cards prices too.

SO see the NV36 results as a bit of a "whats about to happen for sensible money" taster

    It overclocks very well too.....

so for the intensity of FB and LOMAC..hold onto your purse a little bit longer

hmm.......by that time, this new card will push the prices right down....so comparisons would be irrelevant. The 9800 XT is a demon, and was used for the review as a good "ceiling". The ONE thing I will totally hold judgement on is IMAGE QUALITY.....cos poor old Ryzard had to get the review done for a world first...literally...and never got into the sharpness of the beast.

I think its gonna be a good good card tho....and I am ATI through and through....at the mo

I have word today that it will be nearer £150 than £200

    So KEEP YOUR WALLET HIDDEN

    Skii...that exactly right...mobo first m8

If it is up for sale before Christmas Deckard, i'd give you £15/20 for it.. (putting together a semi decent machine for my sis and fiancee for their new house - got processor/mb/hd - just need ram and gfx) Geforce 3 ti500 would be perfect for the rest of the system spec.
