I gotta say.. that was one of THE best dogfight nights ive had..

    Awesome guys.. totally awesome...

Voice comms are the key.. as Deck and Trig showed so well..

THAT is how I like to play.. a few more nights like that is what we need.

    thumbs up!

Hat's right.. comms is most deffo the way forward.

I'm in a Lag, Hat's got a 109 on his six and taking hits, I'm low and slow and stalling out but can see the 109 firing on Hat about 200m above me but I can't get the nose onto the 109. Using the comms, Hat comes down to my left, bring the 109 with him, I wing over onto his tail, Hat goes into a gentle right hand turn and I blow the tail off the 109. We both RTB.

Comms shot that plane down, simple as that.

A couple of other things too, I mistakenly fired on Trig, but with the comms he was able to let me know it was him... in full real servers comms saves loadsa time figuring out who's on your side, easier than typing by far!

(plus you can insult Trig... which is always a bonus!)

Oh, also, that server rocks big bells! Only thing I'd change would be to lower the plane/pilot count, not the time limit. On the larger snow map, I think that finding each other is the biggest problem, so a lower plane count for a win would be better than giving players longer to find each other.

iirc, neither team actually won a match last night, even though the server was pretty damn busy at times.

Hat can look at the logs for it but I think there was about 14-16 players at one point, top sante!

All in all, a DAMN FINE night... we HAVE to do this more often!

I had a great night, I would like to see the maps twice as long and the bases further apart by as much again, that way you start combat at 4 to 7k. I prefer surprise to pile into furball but thats just me. The maps are good as are the plane sets. Had some good pilots on as well, good to see SG1 and Taku from the Virtual Pilots server on. At 2.30am MA = 10 players VP = 0 good to see the quality players coming to MA as an option. Also maybe tweak the ping kick up a tad, we lost some good guys last night that would have pinged 350 to 400ish when settled which is still playable imho.

My 2p Thanks for all your efforts Hat and the bandwidth, truely grateful for it

    A great night

    Personal Highlights:
One of our team - "I'm going out to sea to investigate a fire-light"
Me - "Umm that would be my engine.."

Me chasing a plane all over the shop while performed some crazy manouvers, and I actually managed to keep up and get a few rounds off too.. Then I found out it was Hat.. Oops, sorry mate

And discovering that a p39 tends to shed it's wings when I hit over 800kph in a steep dive

I found the same thing with the La5's, hit about 710 I tihnk it was, 1 wing left quickly followed by the other wing and then the engine burst into flames, there was then an altogether unpleasant Trig+Floor incident....

lol, I did that in a Mig3... kept the wings on in a 740 knot dive but all other moveable parts decided to become very movable and moved off the plane.

No elevator, rudder or ailerons... planes become really hard to control after that lot's gone...

lucky I got it on the deck tbh - my control panel had holes in it and most of the stuff wasn't working, and my windscreen had a large proportion of the oil that shoulda been in me engine all over it...
