working late so going to miss it IF it happens. major douts about it tbh when they relise just how many times the server will crash out before it works.

Gates opened for my server today, roughly 15 crashes of the Kalimdor continent, and a couple of the whole server before we got into AQ40. There were some more crashes after that, but the instance server was unaffected.

Yeah, the gate will open up this evening followed by a bug zerg rush and many server crashes

I'm logged off there now, can't wait to get into AQ, but I'll be outside farming rep for the duration of the event

We had most of the crashes before the event even started. Once it starts all chars below level 45 are ported out of the zone. Also it becomes a bit less laggy as everyone around the gong gets killed within a few seconds (yes seriously). the bug event stuff lasts for about 10 hours after the gong is sounded.

Server just went bang Have a feeling its the first of many.

I thought skullcrusher was supposed to be a bad server, we never had a single crash when the gates were opened, even done 6 hours of the 10 hour event. Managed to get 3k rep from Neutral with BoN

Well, started very badly with the first server crash 40mins before the arranged time simply because of the numbers of people in Silithus, and a few more crashes before the time came. Then when we tryed to ring the gong all three people with the septer were totally lagged and crashing so we postponed it another 2 hours and went to play AB

When we got back there were still plenty of people there, and luckily this time one out of three of the septer holders was actually able to connect to the server for long enough to hit the gong and get the event started. Didn't take long for the server to improve to 1-2 second ability lag which was playable, as everyone got bored dieing to the lvl 62 elites or went into the new instance.

I stayed for a few hours and managed to farm 20k rep with the bronze dragon flight but most of our Raid left at around midnight, and I left after a few failed attempts at pulling the Colossus into Cenarion Hold with 5 people
