Hey bud.
The red dot is your sticks ACTUAL input, the green is what happens in the cockpit in game. The drop down box at the top modifies which axis you can adjust sensitivity wise, the same with dead band and filtering.
I've set my stick so the last two sensitivity bands are 100%, thus making sure full pitch back IS fully pitch back 'in game'.. I have left dead band and filtering at zero. All my axis have the last two sensitivity bands set to 100%, so I know that the game is reading the full motion of my stick. Other than that, what you've got there looks very similar to what I get... my green square doesn't stay precisely with my red dot either, never has.
ok.. so u reckon if I set the last two bands to say 100% i might get that green square to actually move some? it doesnt seem to be going the full hog.. so Im thinking that im not getting full joystick output
should it be that the red and green squares overlap as closely as possible?
I find with mine that the red always leads the green, with the green catching up once movement has stopped. But I *think* that the closer you get the two to move together, the more accurate your stick will be 'in game'. I tried filtering, but it just lags the stick out. I think it reduces the sampling rate to the stick, but I found it too 'wooly' to use.
The dead band is only really any good if you've got a REALLY sensitive stick, but then I found that I had to set all the sensitivity bands to default. with them starting at 20% and using the dead band I had no movement, the suddenly too much movement.
Best set up I've found through experimenting is to up the last two sensitivity bands to 100%.. after all, most of the time in this game it's a case of either gentle movements or heave the stick around frantically like an arm wrestler on speed!
I've never set my stick up ingame, I just calibrated it in windows and off u go....
the idea is you can DE SENSITISE your joystick......
the input you move it by is then shown as smaller inputs in the game....and you can them lower the sensitivity of the inner few degrees of joymovement for more accuracy..but you than have to readjust the others furthoer "out" to then act more....so that max movement IS max movement.
Its JUST LIKE changing the ratios on your gearbox......

latest drivers really have made the FFB much more realistic.... thumbs up from me
