Woo, if I can get this W/Mo going I can start to kill some Ettins and hopefully farm some Runes. I already have a Dragoncrest Axe and a Exhalted Aegis for him, oh and Sskai's Sword as well.

I'm really getting back into this game now. Starting to enjoy it again!

I've been tempted to get Factions, but saying that I never completed Prophecies (got as far as Lion's arch and got stuck - I mainly played with Hechies though so that could have something to do with it) Haven't played in a good few months. I was a lvl 17 Ranger/Mesmer. I might try and get back into it soon (If I get any spare time).

Is Factions much different to Prophecies?

Essentially Factions is the same gameplay etc as Prophecies, just the setting is Asia. I managed to do most of the Prophecies campaign using henchies. I have found that you need to take plenty warriors and backup with healing, 1 ranger and fill the rest with mages.

I was at Dragons Throat for absolutely ages on Factions, not realising that it was actually an optional challenge mission. I kept trying to do it but kept failing. I realised last week that it was literally optional and have managed to get a lot further into it. It is Guild Wars, simple as that and with loving the first one so much I am enjoying this one equally as much.

I've read that Nightfall is going to be more like the Prophecies campaign. I like Factions I must admit but it doesn't seem to have the same appeal and feel as Prophecies. Think I should have started a new character instead of taking over my warrior, kind of difficult when every enemy is level 20 and higher all the time !

I might give GW another try, I played the beta and wasn't very impressed by it (I didn't play it that much to be fair), as it's got no subscription I won't really lose out if I do get it.

I play it occasionally. I did the WoW 'hardcore' PvE for about a year and quit around February time, end game really needs some work in that one. Taken the 'casual' gamer approach, as it works a lot better in this game (especially with henchmen), and play perhaps 2 evenings a week at 1-3 hours an evening. Extremely enjoyable, can always achieve something in a smaller period of time.. it's not a huge gear grind, PvP is rather well balanced and requires skill, and I can play on my own (without anyone else being able to hassle me)!
It's only a pity there are so many immature little children in the city areas, but turning off local chat and emotes seems to pretty much fix that!
    Well worth the £18 + £18 from Play.com .

Can't wait for Nightfall as it is apparently going to be more Player versus Environment orientated than Factions, which is geared more towards Player versus Player. I love Prophesies and still play it almost every day but I can't really get into Factions so much as there are so many aspects of it I'm not happy with, especially the way in which kudos is given to how quickly a mission is completed.
