Steve - have you tried grabbing it from http://www.fileplanet.com/163517/dow...--Trial-Client ? - not sure which version of the client it is, but what's to lose?

I've been tempted by WoW for a while too, how much pre-paid time do you get if you buy just the game? and does anyone know whether it will work on a dial up connection?
Thanks
Andy

should be ok in a dial up connection although you will get a fair amount of lag on and off

Conclusion (well, after 10 days at least!) .... errr, I'll stick to Everquest thanks. It's very possible I didn't give it a fair enough chance but if it started getting boring after 10 days, I don't think I would stick with it!
Nice graphics style though - looks very smart.
Thanks to everyone (especially Splash!) who tried to help me get the trial going !!!
The blizzard downloader is horrible yes - using P2P for a retail game like this where we pay a subscription just annoys the hell out of me - granted blizzard need alot of bandwidth, and thats expensive - but thats why we paid 30quid for the game and then 8 quid a month ffs...
The game itself though is greatI can see why people find it boring, and personally I find P2P insanely boring - it is just deathmatch really and if I want that I have a milliona nd one better online deathmatch games.
What I love is instancing - get a good group together and go take on a nice big instance. This requires skill - I play as a tank and you really need to know who to attack, when and where, and how to manage your aggro...needs skill. same goes for healing, DPS etc.
I love questing almost as much - I'm one of those people that likes to try and complete a game properly before moving on - and with wow that means doing as many of the quests as possible. Some of my friends just sit there grinding Teddybears (timbermaw hold) or stuff in the plaguelands just for Rep - but thats just boring to me
Theres lots to do in wow, and as long as you have at least one other person to play with it's great fun![]()
