    I was about .7 behind....

    machine guns set at 300
    canons at 200

so they've crossed and opened up again....in fact, to look behind, you can see they are tighter just back there a bit.

Was just messing with height compensation and forgot about crossover

    thanks for that Dak....cheers dude

you guys get a lot closer than I do....my abilitly to judge or second guess a potential snap shot is not good enough yet..so I try to set the merge of my bullets at 300 and then from 250 to 350 they are not too badly spread...

but I do have to HOSE the opponent down.

Its why I quite like the I16 at the mo...quite a lot of ammo

The only things I dont like about the i16 are the manual gear and the fact that u can stick the nose down...

LOL So true, I take 153s before I take I16, although the cannon jobs growing on me, atm my converge is set to 300, tough getting any closer that that to 109s in the i16, also the ground attack you really dont want to be pulling up much lower than that

the type 24 has some rather tasty armamant though.. couple of 20mm canons plus MGs can pack a nasty punch...

Its a turn fighter though thats for certain. .....Ive seen some tremendous success ( by other people of course) using it at a low altitude.. lets face it the old 109 bnzers will eventually run out of E, time and ammo.. and have a greedy habit of not supporting their mission objective.

Keep you eyes WELL peeled.. and turn out of the line of fire as the snappers come zooming in... not a lot they can do about it apart from continue their straight line zoom and following climb.. if they want to go head on against VVS armament then let em, their engines are pretty susceptible to even a couple of MG bullets.. line em up in our sights.. spray a WHOLE load of ammo into their straight line path ( they aint gonna be able to avoid it) and turn out of their way BEFORE the collision!!! .. leave the bullets going in the straight path.. you dont actually have to WATCH them hit!

Before you know it.. youll find a whole bunch of 109s turn fighting and wishing they hadnt.

Of course, this only really works if everyone does it. Ive played a couple of missions where I16s supposed to be on patrol have headed off to Feodosia with bombs under their arms.. well surprise surprise they dont last that long... leavning them dead and the other 2 guys on patrol without the support they need.

Teamwork - using your plane's strengths - watching out for the oppos strengths and using their weaknesses to your advantage... can all turn the tables in your favour

Yeah that one we played the otherday, WTF frag hunters dont work in a dynamic game like VEF, maybe for VEF 3 there should be a if your a knub u get kicked off the front line, TK/TW, not doing the mission etc should all be penalised in some way...
