1.21 won't run? - help?

I've downloaded (over 56k) the 1.0-1.21 patch and it won't run. all I get is a dos box for a couple of seconds then nothing.

Fresh install of IL2 FB. Nothing else installed. Downloaded "add-on121_over10.exe". Basically what am I meant to do with it?

it should be a self extracting zip file as far as im aware ,if u are getting a dos box then the file is probably corrupt which means u used ie to download it and ur going to have to spend hours redownloading it unless some 1 bangs it on a cd and mails it ya

Have you downloaded the Version 1 to 1.21 or version 1.11 to 1.21? Doh read post again soz

its not unzipping to a default path which is different to your actual game path is it?

And when you fire up IL2 FB... on the splash screen in the bottom left hand corner.. what version does it say youre running?

I cant do you a CD just yet im afraid.. cos CD burner is out of action .. new one coming for chrimbo.

Its not unzipping period.

I've just reinstallled it so its v1.0

Have you tried running it in directX ? ie going into start/programs/ubisoft/Forgottenbattles/setup and change it from Open GL to Direct X. I bet it starts then

am assuming he gets a dos box with no text in it or anything...., so sounds like it isnt unzipping.

Any kind soul got a cd for him? that patch is over 100 meg

I think thats what happening too. I'll have to find someone nearby who has broad band. I'm not doing it again myself.
