Just tried that challenge with the Hurricane MkIIc, but could only get 5 before taking too many hits. Just a bit too slow and although those cannons are great when they hit, I'm just not quite used to this new flight control system yet (it's a lot lighter than the Evo and I'm sticking to that excuse!). However, I did mange to survive with the Yak3, although I only got 5 kills. One got shot by their own guy (amazing sight watching the bullets go over my own wing into him as he flew by :) ), and the other 2 stalled/crashed into the ground. Luckily, they are quite bad at aiming: Unfortunately, I'm no better at the moment :embarrassed:

Well just tried it in a P39, by the time I had shot down the first one I had started smoking already :lol:
Still managed to get all but one that ditched in the sea before my engine decided it wanted to set fire to itself and blow my entire plane up before I had chance to actually get out...

fancied a challenge, a fast plane vs slower turn fighters..
As it happens i appear to have forgotten not only how to shoot but how to fly and half of my config so took ages to even shoot down one, if you fancy a laff get nick to email u the track...
ordering a Evo in a few minutes hopefully :D
P39's seem to be.. easier now... dunno why, but they flow better through manouvres and you don't have to be so precise in your inputs.Quote:

Tried the Hurri 2c and got 1 before I gave up as the damned thing might as well not have a stall speed its so slow and then tried in the Spit IXe CW and managed to get 3 before my oil leak made my engine stop working...
I chased a 109 round for ages in a hurri last night, could never get close enough, he had the energy advantage all of the time. He did get hit by ground fire though. I think I need to practice more!
