Arrrggghh!!

I got this game - and a stick especially - They arrived the day before I went on holiday (last Wednesday), I thought to myself: "That'll be a nice treat upon my return"

I guess I didn't count on one thing: Vista.

I can't get the bloody thing to work! It comes up with a DDraw.dll missing error (but it isn't - I reinstalled DX, and checked system for it...)

Anyone else got this to work on Vista 64?

Sadly I don;t know anyone with Vista and 1946 or Il-2 so sadly I can;t help.

It may be an idea to repost it as a seperate thread rather than hijack this thread.

Wasn't my intention to hijack - thought there may be a quick fix (there isn't - it doesn't like DX10) - but I've created a dual boot with xp pro x64 and it works fine on that.

All I need to now is get good.... great game I've got to say.

How much harder is multi-player than the single player campaign?

You need 1946 and the latest patch 4.08

and you unzip it into the main 1946 folder. And Robert is your Mothers Brother.

Thanks... I'll keep it single player for the time being - I got repeatedly owned last night in the spits v 109 server! Played a couple of SP quick missions to reassure myself and got owned then too
