That was fun last night :) Just reminded myself how damned good I am at flying an IL2... got the torpedo off, sank the ship, got shot to bits, no rudder, a FW190 AND a 109 on me 6.. scissored all the way back to base, where a couple of guys took care of the fighters, with a near perfick landing to boot, after having to wind the wheels down manually (I think I could have drained pasta quite happily in that thing tbh)

Decided that I'm not very good at dogfighting, so I am sticking with ground attack aircraft.
Saw 3 planes circling below me, so thought I would drop down to ID them and climb, then the next time I dropped down I would know which one to line up on. Go to ID them and all 3 are my own team :rolleyes:.
At least with ground targets, you know which are yours and which aren't (even through a bit of trial and error :P ). Also, your AI gunners knows which aircraft are the enemy and seem to do a much better job and shooting them down then I do :embarrassed: .

Hmm I take it this game/sim is recommended then?
I'm fairly ok with flight sims, so it looks like fun - and you guys seem to enjoy having multiplayer matches :)
(Was thinking of buying this - although i suspect i need a new joystick.. PC Line doesn't quite cut it these days :P)
