    Ok dont bother with plain IL2

    At some stage I will be upgrading to IL2 1946 so if buying for 1st time go for that

    I got 1946 a month ago and have been playing online on the Battle Fields servers. It's great fun but really frustrating at first when you discover that your are really pants at flying and are basically a flying target for the first couple of weeks.
    As Dakaras said, boom and zoom is the way to go, though I love taking up an old biplane and flying circles round a newer fighter, I've even managed to shoot a few down.

    Hehe trusty turn and burn whale

    If you can do it holding hi speed turns works a treat, just need to be careful that you dont go to tight and drop a wing.
