edit: i tried landing an IL-2 earlier...took my hand of the stick for.... 3 seconds to reach for the rudder and brake keys on my keyboard....and in those 3 seconds my prop had dug into the runway i take it that doesnt count as a landing?

I think my rudder control is a bit borked on my stick , my plane keeps veering to one side on the runway. I also keep losing my squadron, for some reason they are a lot faster then me :/

This game is a simulation.. therefore you have torque and gyro effects as well as wind etc - the reason your aircraft is swinging about on the runway is that you've got a blummin great thing on the front spinning around at lots of rpm.. it's gonna have an effect

My plane goes completely to the left on all the flight sims I play except BF2, is my joystick borked or are all the errors sitting in the chair?

Been playing around with my mates copy of IL2:FB, and I am definately going to pick up 1946 next time I'm in town. Really enjoy the Hurricane MkIIc with those 4 cannons. Very good at separating wings from aircraft Also rather nice watching it fly this week as it practises its flying display.

Check Game Controllers in Control Panel to see if it's calibrated correctly, especially when centred. If it is, then if you are flying a lot of single prop aircraft then it's the reaction force of the prop rotating and is normal. If you are flying multi-engine aircraft or jets, then it's probably your joystick, although if you are pulling back at it at an angle it might the way you sit, ie. being right handed, you might be pulling back and to the left towards you.

    C:\games\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes\Skins

you knowe where yours in, prolly n Program Files not games,

Use PaintShop pro os similar, it's a Bitmap.
It raps the skin around so its hard to tell what goes where until you fly it
Use Quick Mission Builder , Externals on, F2 and F8, and pause the game (P) to use mouse to scroll around it. Click mouse and move to zoom in and out
