had a cunning plan, do a 'tilt-shift in photoshop' effect on the original and see how that comes out... or better - show us all here! think that might yield a slightly better result.

If only the lad (lass?) on the right had his (her?) head turned ever so slightly to his (her?) right - that would have been perfect.

Still a lovely shot though, almost a heart shape

The shy one is nice too, lovely sharp details.

Thanks - its a Sony A200 (cheap DSLR) and a Sony 70-300mm G SSM lens (not so cheap lens )

Had a pretty spectacular sunset on Sunday but the view from the house isn't very conducive to a good picture of sunsets (unless you count a silhouette of some houses and aerials...) but I noticed the colours and particularly the cloud formations were pretty spectacular so I tried using a telephoto lens instead to pick out more specific details. Quite pleased with the results but I didn't do justice to what was there in the sky tbh

Sometimes when i go gliding i see skies like that and it's just awesome - really hard to keep your eyes forward and not look round!

I meant for Ben. I only have a canon A720 (compact P+S). If I had a DSLR I'd get that lens straight away - sounds perfect for my favourite types of shots.

sigma 10-20? i rather get a proper walkaround lens like the canon 25-135 or one o fthe sigma lenses that covers a greater range

I'd still have a P+S for that kind of stuff - and more walkaround than a DSLR anyday. No point getting a walk-around lens if you're shooting land/skyscapes.

If I had to, I'd get a 16-85 type lens, but 25 is too narrow.
