lol
@ Sk!mD4Rk - thanks for that, I stumbled across it and thought it could be interesting. I need to crop the photo a bit though and get rid of the number plate
@ Blastuk - nice photo, but I would try straightening the horizon? Also it might have been better to get all the boat in the frame - I keep getting distracted by the nose being chopped of. But lovely colours and reflections, is that in London or where you out at the coast?
it seems i never did frame the whole boat, i was too distracted with trying to not stare at the sun.
i just tried straightening it out and it still doesn't look quite right, the angle at which i am standing is supposed to make the runway look like that though.
this was taken in east london across from london city airport.
purple fringing there I'm afraid - wide angle against a high contrast sky backlighting branches life that its not that surprising - the lens (17-50mm Tamron) is a good lens but it isn't perfect - and I don't know how to get rid of purple fringing in photoshop tbh
I dont think he means purple fringing, i think he means where the stitching hasnt lined them up and you have floating branches with a blob of blur next to them where its not stitched to the other end of the branch...

here's the sunrise
to reduce fringing, you can use the sliders in ACR. or there is an action for $10 which i actually use, that will remove any coloured fringing, its a great action
