Tried your tips out, I like the results

Here's one of my favourite shots of the day, sun from behind onto some horrendous clouds that had just drenched us. The pilot chose ELO's "Mr Blue Sky" as his display music, just as the clouds broke

I had another play, love the pic by the way

Same drill as before, on my screen it was showing as the image had a blue tint to it like the last one.

Thanks. TBH, it's not as good as I wanted, but those leaves behind him were litterally just foot or so behind him. That's at f/5.6 with the 1.4TC on.

I'm still going through the shots. Not many are *that* good tbh, but considering some of them were at less than 1/100s for a 1250mm 35mm equivalent, I guess I can't complain Also we were only supporting it on a monopod so there's a limit to stability and fluidity... I'd love to have a lens like that and a full gimbal setup to hang it off, but it's a bit beyond my budget

You can already see the DoF from the top of its head/ear to the front where its arm is.

That's some really low shutter speed you got going there and still getting sharp pictures

I didn't really - there were loads of them all over the lavender (you can see another one in the background). The E-620 kit lens seems to focus more or less instantly so I just pointed it at bees and fired away, almost every shot was technically fine.

25cm for the 14-42 (supposedly - I'm sure I can get much closer than that to be honest, more like 15cm).
90cm for the 40-150 (I estimated about a metre so that's probably accurate).

focus distance is measure from the sensor.. there should be a mark on your camera body indicating where that is
