Indeed it has! Here are a few. BMX/Skate ones with the nifty and birds taken with the 300mm and 1.4tc:

    ISO 1600

    Hooded Merganser
Would have been such a nice picture if only I had the top of the head in! I just turned to catch the end of his "flapping" and took a series of shots, none of which I was fast enough to get the head in and this was the best of the bunch

Not sure...think a Japanese Heron or something?

    Re: Photo-a-day

Just been to glasgow, took a few random shots just in case anything good came out (it didn't)
It was overcast & dullish so I was messing with shutter speed, to get the pics bright enough was causing the sky to blow out almost completely on most shots, suggestions?

For Example (excuse the uncropped, unedited version)

    Re: Photo-a-day

Rob - have you tried a circular polariser ? It may help with the sky in overcast shots like this.

    Re: Photo-a-day

Nah, I'm still only messing around to see if I get used to it all before splurging on a decent camera, not buying anything else just yet!

Enjoying it but it's frustrating, Ithink I need 'the picture' that when I take it seals the deal. So far it's elusive & shots are hit/miss

i love Reds display, used to have an Alien that was about 3/4 of that size, amazing model.

As for the pics, I don't know if you are local mate, but if you head out to the west end you get some beautiful buildings such as the Kelvingrove Art Museum etc, to take pics of

The Heron is a cracker - always wanted one of them but can never get close and most of my lenses are wide.

One from the cold spell processed through Lightroom - just using the demo version at the moment.

Birds are always too far away no matter what lens you have it seems! Even with the 300mm and 1.4x tc on a crop body, so 630mm, I still often find that's way too short! If I win the lottery, my first purchase will be either a 400 f2.8 and 2x tc or 600mm with 1.4x tc

    Re: Photo-a-day

Someone told him to hop it and he did

My divorce settlement money is going to nbe well used when it arrives, Ive already decided on the 400mm f4, a decent macro prime, and a VR general purpose zoom, maybe the 18-200, plus a good 2x converter

I've finally managed to recalibrate the autofocus on my D70IR so here are my two latest churches in IR with it. You can quite clearly see the difference between these and the earlier Brixworth (top of this page) :

    Dodford near Daventry, Northants.

Daventry Abbey, not strictly a part of the church project as it isn't old enough but I'm please with the pic so it can stay in
