    Re: Photo-a-day

Second one's nice....A tighter crop would have been fantastic. Good exposure & DOF, and the tangle of brambles is a great backdrop. Very nice.

    First one's crap

    Re: Photo-a-day

The main problem with that first pic is all the green stuff.....if you'd just focused on that fantastic dirt path on the right, with the fence drawing your eye into the depths of the picture it would have been a cracking shot....the light quality looked really good, giving it a nice hazy effect further down...

why do you think its better?

all i see is that someone was walking down a foot path, stopped for a brief moment, pointed the camera, took a photo and moved on..

when you look at a situation, think about the lighting, the angle and how you want to frame the picture, then and only then after thinking about it, set the camera and take the photo..

    Re: Photo-a-day

StevenF .... nice canon, nice textures, good lighting, but the crop seems a little off, and I'm pretty sure that shot it wonky.

    RB .... Great colours.....nice shot

It's actually not a crop, it's just been resized. I see what you mean, it is a little wonky. Thanks

    Re: Photo-a-day

Sorry, by crop I meant composition, and the way you've cropped the back off the canon trailer (I'm sure there's got to be a military term for it) was a little off. Just seemed unbalanced.
