@ Clunk - awwwwwwwwwwwww super cute dog!
The keep at Pontefract Castle, the sky was pants the day I took it so tried a mess around in elements (just got it, trying a few things out)
Cute dog Clunk - watch your focus though!
Yorkie - I like yours but I'd bring up the brights a little - you've got lovely deep blacks but they kind of go to gray rather than white. The sky's already blown so you may as well just go for it! It also looks soft because your focal point is in the middle rather than on the stones at the front. Interesting though.
@ YorkieBen - I really like the last shot of the wall, although I agee that the focus is a little out. Looks like it would make a great monoprint or something
@ Brammers - absolutely loving all your shots, all the little quirks and colouration are beautiful. Infact they've convinced me to borrow a film slr from my uni's av store! More Mongolia photos please!
Another from New Zealand in August.
Cheers Virtual Monkey - here's some from the Gobi Desert
I also rescanned the camel if you're interested - looks a fair bit better now.

As to grabbing the film camera... Be really careful. Film is seriously expensive - and it takes experimentation to get it right. If I'm honest this whole trip was pretty much one big experiment. It's fun, and living out in China it's actually not a bad idea because it's now so cheap, but in the UK unless you get yourself your own darkroom it's gonna cost.
Kid - imo you want some more contrast in that shot. It looks quite flat. Composition is lovely though

This was one of the first photos I took with my 400D. I think it was the day after I got it.
^ That's a very nice shot, KC. Very Autumnal and relaxing.

Today's photo:
Most of my better photos seem to have been from when I was still trying out different settings when the camera was new to me. I've become a lazy photographer recently.
