well, it was a good deal...of money! but you know, you only live once and it fits nicely beside the 1dII...identical in every way but the sensor going to have fun with this one!!...and yes, I did quite well out of it too money-wise, especially comparing it to what I've seen some go for

as for the photos, just quick snaps whilst out with the dog, no tripod or anything and the light was o.k. but not that nice 'crack of dawn' look to it. I have noticed it will take a little bit of cleverness to tame this particular beast!
Will work on better compositions next time!

i have to say that shooting with a 50D the other night, i do like the detail captured

yep, the details this camera picks up are incredible, but you need the lenses to match otherwise its not worth the effort!

Don't need to upgrade 30D, Don't need to upgrade 30D...

Liveview would be fantastic for focussing when it's on the back of the telescope though...

tbh I am still hanging onto my venerable 20D. its possibly the most reliable camera I've got!

i``ve only just got a sony a200 and still havent got used to that never mind upgrading to a better camera. WOuld be nice to have some better glass though

That's something I'm noticing a lot more now. Other than my Tokina 10-16, all my other glass is pretty mediocre. Need to get some more specialised lenses rather than the general purpose stuff I already have.
