So apparently it's a Nikon CMOS, which I very much doubt has the capabilities they're talking about (broken translation, or wishful thinking?)

the 12.5Mp Sony CMOS sensor for the D300 sensor is very plausible seeing as they announced 1 on Monday & it fits in with previous Sony sensor/Nikon new camera announcements.

The 12Mp FF Nikon sensor seems to be less so - there are rumours that Sony can either upscale the new sensor or that they also have an FF in development though (it's noticeable that a no. of Sony's announced new lenses are FF & why do that if you are only going to make APS-C bodies? ... ).
Hopefully it'll all be settled tomorrow.
