Thanks

Hey, well are you after a compact digital camera or do you mind having something a bit bigger like a dSLR camera?
It depends what you want, Craig.
You're towards the low end of DSLRs for £350, but that probably only makes sense if you need interchangeable lenses or if it's the start of a system.
There are 'bridge' cameras like the Canon S5 IS. They're like a mini-DSLR in style, but with a fixed lens, usually of the large magnification type. They're a good option for those that don't mind a bit of bulk, but either don't want something as large (or potentially complex) as a true SLR or who want a second camera for when they don't want to use their SLR.
Or you can opt for those makes that emphasise high-quality lenses (Ricoh GR-100, perhaps, though I haven't checked price) ..... or Panasonic use Leica lenses in their Lumix range.
Or you can opt for something that's ultra-small .... though generally optically compromised compared to the likes of the above.
Do you want a shirt-pocket camera for taking snaps, or a serious camera for someone with photography as a hobby? And so on.
If that's the type of camera that appeals to you, I'd also suggest checking out the Olympus SP550-UZ and the Canon S5-IS I mentioned before.
