Wonder when they are going to supercede the 5D

Was thinking about this while wondering around town.

They have been replacing the xxxD range really quickly recently. And to be honest, there is probably enough reason to move from my 350D to a 450D. But I would still like a 40D.

The question is, how long is the 40D going to last? The 30D was out for a good while, but the way competition is in the dSLR market at the moment, I can see a 45D o 50D being touted in the not tooo distant future.

I should maybe just spend some money on decent glass at the moment and wait for another generation of body.

normal cycle for teh XXD is about 2 years..

Thats the normal cycle, but will they be forced to upgrade it sooner?

I'm thinking a 45D, not a huge change just a bit of a refresh, perhaps a slightly higher fps rate, little bit better sensor etc.

Na, 50D I'd say, even the apparent minor update from the 20-30D warranted a full number change..

is it worth getting a 450d over the 400d? the 400d is only £400 which is pretty cool. is there a large improvement between the two
