Hmm. And what happens if you need to shift your footing? If you're going to be that static, you may as well use a tripod or monopod. Somehow I think I'll stick to my in-body stabilisation. I expect this is better than nothing for Canikon users, though.
Looks like a great idea, i'm quite tempted to try it even though i have a tripod. It would be much much easier
with enough practice you can teach your body to be stable enough to shoot as low as 1/20 @ 200mm

Not too sure about that, but yea anything to save the hassle of carrying tripods.
but i saw this a lil while ago on the net:-
a solution which wouldn't so big to carry around - any one tried one?
keep mening to get one of them
I have a Gorilla Pod.
Got it for the Christmas just gone and have used it a fair few times. Watch the videos of it in action on Firebox. They sold it to me.
I have one too great for on holiday as you can wrap it round a railing or on some rocks, or the bonnet of the car to get photos of both of us rather than the usual "Photo of You"... "Photo of me"... "Photo of You"... etc
I would recommend the SLR version for anything above a small compact, my camera is the Canon G7 which is not massive but can be a bit heavy for it especially if trying to hold it at an angle.
You really can do this:
System:Atari 2600 CPU:8-bit 6507 (1.19MHz) RAM:128 bytes Colours: 16 (4 on screen) Resolution: 192x160Originally Posted by The Mock Turtle
