Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
Err, why?
As far as I'm aware, the performance of each unit is identical?
Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
No reason other than I think it would look alot better in black.
Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
"more pro" looking ;)
you can DL instructions on how to take your camera appart, but tbh, its not worth it, if you didn't want a silver 350, why did you buy one?
Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
heh, that armour isn't worth it, i had a look at that when i was @ Focus back in Feb, more hassle than its worth :)

Yep totally useless, but its black. Although the entire ensemble would be 2 tone.
Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
Totally not worth it unless you paint an 8-ball and a racing stripe on there too.
Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
Also, I'd think you'd certainly at the least risk invalidating any warranty.
Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
lol, maybe.
Would a 350d still be in warranty?
Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
Just edit it in photoshop each time you take a photo of it ;)
Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
It's really not going to happen :E Anything you do manually would be a mess and if you take the time/spend the money to do it professionally you're probably better off just getting a black one from ebay.
If you do go ahead I'd love to see the results - please video the whole thing!!! :D
Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
er, in answer to the original Q, no. its highly likely you will get paint inside the camera and fowl up the mechanism somehow. imagine paint as water - the 350d is not environmentally sealed...i think its fairly obvious where this is going.

no but if you dismantle the body before painting it is possible, someone did it 5 years ago with a 300D when they first came out
Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
more hastle than its worth if you ask me!
Re: Spraying DSLR camera..
Maybe find someone who is your anti-twin and bought a black camera, except wanted a silver one, and see if he is willing to swap? If you are willing to swap, then he will be too, since he is your anti-twin.
What I said is more logical than trying to paint your camera.
