Question what camera for non laggy HD video...

    basically i'm looking at this
    http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/articl..._lumix_dmc-tz7
but i do not want to wait till april so whats the closest thing to this?
i do obviously want to take decent photos aswel but i rele need the hd video aswel.and so far everything else i've seen lag/stutters every 5seconds or so in a video.which is unacceptable seeing as your paying to a feature that's sposed to work not "make do cause it's a new feature" etc...
am i going to have to wait and will that record proper smooth video etc...?
anyone know how much it will be UK price-wise?

Good riddance. Wish I'd done it about a year ago.

I would expect it to be at the same price as the TZ5 as it was around the same as the TZ3 which was about the same as the TZ1.

As for stuttering video, I'm not sure. I guess I could have a go of my brothers TZ5 if I get a chance. One thing that spring to mind though: you should always use a fast SD card. A Sandisk Ultra II or Extreme III/IV card is definitely worth the extra money. The stuttering could be when the camera runs out of buffer in it's own internal memory when writing to a slow card.

    About £250

The ~£300 that it's being listed at right now is way too high. But not surprising as it isn't released yet.

Re: what camera for non laggy HD video...

Should be acceptable, but not in the same league as a dedicated HD camcorder (like the new ones from Panasonic or Canon). I would expect it to be better than the Sanyo HD-800 pistol grip cameras though.
