One for the kids really, something that takes reasonable quality snaps.

Looking at the Nikon Coolpix S210, seems reasonable
    or Fujifilm FinePix J100 ...

What sort of features do you want?

Easy to use obviously, but do you want a thin camera or one with a bit of bulk. And i guess it needs to be fairly forgiving in terms of general use.

How old are your kids? I mean younger kids probably won't give a monkeys about picture quality so long as it's in focus!

Have a look at this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/qid=123609...ice=70&x=0&y=0

If you'd be willing to pay a tad more [than £50] then you might get a pretty good deal. Of course check out eBay and so on.

The real sweet spot at the moment would be around £80 i think. Based on the number of 4.5-5 star reviews on amazon, you're looking at around that mark:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/qid=123609...ce=100&x=0&y=0

Have a look at the Canon Powershot A580 (on the link above)

Also, the Fuji z20fd has got a 4-5 star average over 800 ratings on google.. http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=fuji+z20fd&hl=en and is in funky colours

Yeah, £80 is about the range i'm looking all-in-all. Just compact and robust, as it's for the kids to use primarily.
