    Re: canon 430 ex vs 430ex 2??

I bought the EX when i could have got the EX II for the same price...

i didnt realise until after i bought it...

Its been a cracking flash and hasnt let me down yet,...

still havent figured out all the features... like double flash and stuff...

Dunno what the II is like, but the 430 is a perfectly capable flash gun

Some retailers may still be selling old stocks of EX's at the prices before exchange rate hikes, but the new ones obviously will reflect new exchange rates. Or maybe not.

EX2 has weather sealing, metal hotshoe, faster recycle time, 180 deg swivel, 1/3 stop increments in manual mode, 1st and 2nd curtain sync, and a quick locking mechanism instead of the screw thread..
