Yes, but it depends on what you class as good and what your preferences are - probably best to start a new thread and include all the things that are important to you.

    Re: Buying a Camera....

    What is it for lazer?

If your travelling, something like this:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ricoh-Caplio-G...#ht_500wt_1174

which could be had for around £200 might be just what the doctor ordered, they have SLR-like functionality, but are very small, yet the quality, especially in low light is really quite excellent.

Failing that you could look at something like a Pentax K10D, this is a very well constructed camera, let down by the on-board image JPEG converter, if you shoot in RAW, even if you just auto-convert them on the PC, its a great camera. The reason I'd say to go for something like that is the 'glass' (lenses, get me trying to sound cool!) doesn't loose value, thanks the the GBPJPY some of my lenses have actually increased in value considerably, this is a pain for insurance.

But the thing about the lens is that you can get Optical Stabilisation, these cost more than your total budget two times over, so a camera that has on-body shake reduction is a good idea, as you can get away with cheaper glass. As such something like the k10d with a kit lens isn't a bad idea, because this model is now two models out of date, you can pick them up brand new surplus stock for £300 without any hassle, so second hand for around £200 should be very doable.

That looks like a nice little camera. Will check it out. Thanks
