Renting camera equipment

I'm thinking about buying a 2x extender to go with my 70-200mm L. Before I do that I want to test one to see if the autofocus works, and to compare the quality with my sigma 135-400 DG, which it'll be replacing if it's any good.

I've found one company here http://www.hirental.co.uk/lens_hire/...on_lenses.html but I've really got no experience doing this.

Any advice on that company or renting in general much appreciated.

works fine with the 70-200 AF speed? a little bit slower than without - you'll have no trouble keeping up with fast moving objects in the sky

Have used http://www.lensesforhire.co.uk/ who are very good, they post you the kit and you get it for a FULL week i.e. it arrives the day before hire starts and you send it back the day after. But you do have to sort the return postage.

Also Calumet are good if you're close enough as you can rent it Friday after lunch and return on Monday before lunch for 1 day's hire.
