Re: Camera advice needed!
The TZ10 has produced some great pics in another forum, I am recommending it as my best buy compact :)
Re: Camera advice needed!
Whats an auto zoom?
You get a few which are touch to focus if thats what you mean?
Re: Camera advice needed!
Panasonic Lumix series is very good for compact cameras. Something like FS35 is around £100-£120 and good quality photos.

Do you need to use the software to copy the photos from the camera?

If you are using something like Windows 7 ... then NO.

Still got xp on the home pc :| Really don't want to install soem bloated camera software. Will it not work by just pluging it in, and then copying photos?
Re: Camera advice needed!
Just take out the memory card and drop it into a card reader? It'll then appear as an external drive.
Re: Camera advice needed!
I think they all come with crappy software, but you can install just the drivers, then use Picasa or Explorer to download & view the files.
As for cameras, the Lumix FS16/18 are pretty good, and 'girl-friendly', otherwise there's the Canon Ixus 220 (should be under £150 by now...) or the FS35 has a few bells and whistles...

I find snapsort a good site to use when you need to make your mind up on a new camera.
