Whats it worth
My Dad has decided he doesn't use his Sony SLR Digital Camera enough to warrant keeping it and has decided he wants me to sell it.
He has
Sony Alpha 200 Body with the 18 - 70 mm kit lens
Sony 70 - 200 mm lens which he bought after
Box and instructions and I think software to go with it
SD card of some description (will be 2 gig)
It's had very little use and is in prsitine condition, I used it myself one summer on a camera club field trip and it really is a noce camera to use.
I think he paid £299 for the camera nd kit lens when he got it first and then paid £179 for the geenuine sony lens after that.
I was thinking £320 - £330 for the whole lot, what say you ?

Re: Whats it worth
whats the exact model of lens ?
70-200 sony tend to be G lens so i doubt its that one.
you wont get more than £300 all in off a forum, your thinking ebay prices but then have to account for fee's taking it back below £300.

Re: Whats it worth
I'll have a look at the lens and check later. I know some people may not want to buy it as a complete kit, but would prefer that to happen if possible.

Re: Whats it worth
for the money you said it cost i bet its the 75-300 sony lens, often it would sell as a package with those 2 lenses anyway, trouble is as far as DSLR's go thats almost bottom of the range, with the sales and current line up of sony cameras i would stick it up for £250 to get rid :)

Re: Whats it worth
Just had a look at the lens and it is indeed 75 - 300 I think it's something along the linbes of S75300 on the model number. Could have sworn it was a 200 ! lol
Well will see what the old man says, if I put here on a forum at least I won't be hit with paypal and then auction fee's on top, so £250 in the clear would be ideal, do you think perhaps asking £270 would be pushing it a touch ?
Trying to get as much money back for him as I can really.

Re: Whats it worth
its old m8, little to no demand so letting it go for £250 to get someones foot on the DSLR ladder would be the price i would let it go for unless you want to wait :)

Re: Whats it worth
I'll speak to the old codger when he gets home and report my findings. Longer we wait tohugh less he'll get.
