    Istanbul

    Hi all,

Went to Istanbul with a new canon 550d and 15-85mm lens

I'm still quite a beginner - but would love any C&C's please.

all images have little to no post processing.

    Enjoy.

    Re: Istanbul

Really nice set. I'd love to go to Istanbul, it looks like a fascinating and beautiful place. The mrs is half Turkish too, so we really should have been by now. I'm a keen amateur photographer and photoshop user, so my critique is amateur too - hope you don't mind!

11 is lovely, though I would have liked it just a bit more if the whole of the neon sign in the top left was in the shot - it adds context and 'story'. 10 could do with a bit of colour correction IMHO to reduce the yellow. 7 is stunning, best in set I'd say. 8 isn't quite sharp enough I don't think, maybe needed a tripod. 5 is beautiful, I think I'd try to bring it down a notch or two, looks overexposed on this monitor (maybe just the monitor). 1 is lovely, and novel, I personally would correct the level so it's on the horizontal, but that's my taste!

    Re: Istanbul

thanks for your great tips Million.

Istanbul really is lovely, we went in the 'off' season, but we still had an amazing time. Lots to see and do and photograph; and the turkish people really make you feel safe and at home.
