Any 7D owners upgrade their camera recently?
Nice new functionality to the 3 or so year old bit of kit. Brings the software a little more in-line with the recent bodies (such as 5D MKIII)
Longer filming time, a functional (but slightly limited) manual audio control, improved burst rate, in camera raw processing (raw to jpg) and a few other things.
As someone who especially uses the filming capabilities of this body alot, I'm quite pleased with it!!
im liking the ability to use the Quick button to change settings when previewing images :)
I had this flagged to do last night but got caught up, I'll be doing mine later when I get chance but I'm pleased with some of the new improvements.

Not as yet but if the weather holds I fancied a trip to Chatsworth on Saturday with the missus so it'll get a thorough going over then (The camera, not the missus...well...maybe the missus, depends how good the firmware is!)

Just happened to be an archery display on while we were there and it proved an ideal test of the improved burst rates, I was using RAW+JPG at max and managed these so I could've done better if I'd sacrificed RAW.

hehe see what you did there...yup, I think I might have distracted them a bit too, sounded like an MG34 opening up on them.
The middle chap was a right poser and kept hesitating as I'd started a burst just to be a sod, wasted a lot of buffer space on him.

Aww hell I already trimmed out the chaff from my my workflow, should have thought to do one.
To be fair he was probably waiting for absolute quietness. If he had a light clicker set up then he might need to listen for it rather than feel it (and thus know when to release to get the length of the draw accurate).Quote:
