    interesting take on shooting fireworks

Just spotted Dave Gorman linking this on Twitter and I liked the effects - what do you think? I love bonfire night, and this has me all excited nice and early.

Oooooh. Wonder how they did that and how easily it can be replicated. Massive fireworks display in Edinburgh this coming weekend would be brilliant to test ;-)

It's done by changing the focus during the very long exposure, prefocusing on something close (I think) then focusing long (on the firework) later on during the exposure.

I suppose you'd have to remember the position of your hand on the focus ring at each point
    - a great experiment.
