Lightroom Language Settings
If I purchase Lightroom here in Japan, is the language locked to Japanese? I'd like to use it in English (because it's much easier). Or, can I select a language at the point of installation? Or within the program itself? It may sound dumb, and I looked on the adode site, and it seems I can do the latter, but I have experienced a couple of programs where English was NOT an option as it wasn't a "European/American" install. The language packs bundled were for SE Asia...
I just want to make sure before I drop ¥14,000 on software.
Much appreciated.
Re: Lightroom Language Settings
Hmm.. you could try downloading the Japanese version of the trial and see if you can change the language there? It's only a license key then to fully unlock it, and you can test the install before purchase

Re: Lightroom Language Settings
As I already have the trial of Lightroom, would it be OK for me to buy the Japanese box edition here and use that license key?
Re: Lightroom Language Settings
I honestly have no idea, sorry :(
Can't see any *logical* reason that the key would be region locked, but licensing is a minefield at times
Re: Lightroom Language Settings
I think they may be region locked keys, due to the price changes...no in this case but due to selling it cheaper in other regions.
Is it really worth the hassle? According to XE 14000yen is 110 pound. You can buy the UK version for 106 downloadable.
Re: Lightroom Language Settings
Buying the UK version introduces a lot of hassle for me living in Japan. I have no real access to my UK credit card to pay with, let alone give away my bank details when using a debit card! I don't use a credit card in Japan, hence the language setting question and license key.
