Does anyone know anything about this company? They say they offer proper Canon UK warranties (looking at buying a 7D) and have only UK stock, but finding customer reviews is tricky because the name is quite generic.

I just had a look at their website and a few things alarmed me about the site, if I were looking to spend close to £900 then I wouldn't be spending it here for the following reasons:
- No about information, so I have no information about the company history
- No address information, no registered address, contact numbers or even any ideas about where they are based
- No apparent security on the site, no HTTPS when putting items into a shopping basket even after getting as far as the address entry stage
- No customer testimonials

£170 cheaper than the lowest on Camera Price Buster. Too good to be true in my opinion.
I wouldn't touch them.

I've decided to go new with this one. Looking at a place called Clifton Cameras, recommended by a friend. Lump sum and 12 months interest free. I was asking about pro-vision after ordering from Simply Electronics. With whom I'm now going through the whole rigmarole of sending it back. They shipped it anyway after I told them to cancel the order.
Hi new to the site but have been looking online for Canon Xf 300 cheapest found is Pro-vision.co.uk but have my doubts if they are genuine? Did you buy from them in the end?
They say they are uk pal models and can sell a lot cheaper due to no shop just selling online. They are registered as a company but the location on their website is a mid link house in Burton? They also trade as spencermann.com and sell for Kamkorda.com. It might be me but have doubts! Anyone confirm they are genuine please?
Hi steveieb, welcome to Hexus.
Ruggerbugger was the OP on this thread and he ended up buying from Clifton Cameras, what I would say here is that if the website and details that you have found about them make you question how safe your money would be if you decided to pay for something on the site, then it might be better to listen to your instincts and not buy from them. But read through the posts above and you will see g8ina warning against the company selling grey imports, Funkstar suggested Camera price buster and Bobster suggested an eBay link to the OP. As far as I am concerned that's a warning to stay well away from Pro-vision.

I ordered a canon XA-10 and sennheiser ew112-p G3 wireless set (£1300) from them on the weekend(sunday) so il share my experiences so far.
No order confirmation after payment, payment was made to grant electronics ltd after checking out the basket in pro-vision.co.uk. I received no notifications at all. Yesterday i sent an email to them (as they apparently dont have any contact numbers) asking what the status of the order is.
I received a very quick reply with a UPS tracking number and link.
Today that package was delivered and contains only the wireless microphone. It says ENG set on it and looks brand new (new sealed batteries etc all complete)
I have emailed them an hour ago to try and find out why there was no camera in the delivery (as i assumed they would come together), no response as of yet.
*im trying to be patient hoping the camera will arrive at some point but im certainly not feeling very comfortable, the fact the mic has been received gives me some comfort though.
Anyone have any suggestion, should i just wait it out, i paid wth paypal so i guess im protected if i dont receive the camera?
(in hindsight i should have done a bit more research on the seller before buying but i guess i thought a .co.uk is legit without investigating at all)
Sorry to hear that, I'm assuming you found this thread after placing your order and started searching to find out more about the company when the order wasn't delivered as expected as you have only just registered here with us, so you must have missed the warnings posted on this thread over the last two or so years.
If you paid by Credit Card or Paypal then you should have some protection, I would start by contacting the credit card company now or sending a message to PP to discuss this with them.
yeah i just googled the website looking for experiences with them and hit this thread after the purchase.
has anyone here actually ordered from them and seen through the whole process and not received the goods they ordered?..if so please share your experience. or is it just people looking at the website giving there opinions and advice from the looks of the site and lack of contatc info etc.
If i dont receive any email response today from them i will probably speak to paypal tomorrow but im hoping the camera will arrive - maybe they just have bad customer service?, if they arent legit why would they send the microphone. thanks
