An RX100 is going for half the price, I hope it punches above its weight. That is DSLR territory.
An RX100 isn't the competitor really, this has a larger sensor than the RX100 mk2, a better lens and 'only' a £100 more expensive RRP.
But as you say, it's also DSLR territory. Though I don't think you'd be considering this if you had the convenience for an interchangeable lens system.
It also has a 24-120MM lense too.
It is however, heavily into Micro 4/3rds price territory!
The proof will be in the sensors quality pudding so to speak. Granted Cannon haven't got much in the prosumer end that has good quality stills in small packages.
