    Re: Photo shoot at home

I think all the photos taken here look stunning and the use of lighting has worked wonders. I personally prefer to shoot in natural daylight and outside as opposed to using a plain background, but I'm very impressed with the results here. Very nice and you have captured their character and personality so well.

    Re: Photo shoot at home

You clearly have a rapport with your subjects, which, in my experience, is the hardest bit to do, and that results in some nice poses.
As you put them up here I'd say the cropping of the 1st and 3rd (original post) is just a little off. Not that everything has to be in a particular spot, that just stuck out for me.
    Nice shots though

    Re: Photo shoot at home

6 years after you asked, but the very first photo reminds me of the Head First series of programming books.

You do seem to have a good rapport with the subjects, which is my favourite aspect of your photos. Nice one!

I find portraiture interesting, but I'm too antisocial to be really great at it. That's OK though, since macro is my favourite kind of photography.

Great photo! You're doing fine. Keep going, but don't forget about technique. Watch webinars, watch the work of successful photographers, so that you have an example of what quality shooting to strive for. Your talent has a future, as for me.
