Camera Lenses...
These any good?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...854848695&rd=1
Just bought a new Fuji S3000, and came across these... I assume the 2x would put up a camera from 1-6 to 2-12x optical zoom, correct? Sorry, that may be a really dull question, but its better to ask I guess!
And, the real question, what kind of quality images do you get if you buy such things as these?

£60 seems a bit expensive for off brand lenses like those. Shop around and you may be able to get genuine Fuji for not much more. In my experience they work surprisingly well, although you never actually get the claimed extension (2x lenses always come out at more like 1.5-1.7x in my experience, similarly the wide lenses are never as wide as they claim). The only realy problems are that the telephoto lenses don't increase the light gathering ability of the lens, so you have to watch out for camera shake; and the wide lenses inevitably worsen barrel distortion (which most cameras have at the wide end of their zoom range anyway). Watch out for straight lines at the edge of your pictures:).

What Rave said. Some of the really cheap ones or really extreme ones you can sometimes get things like fringing.
