Just a quick look back at some of my favourites from last year, with one constraint: These are all 'snaps' that I took with my phone, instead of the rather more specialist equipment I also use! (Hence the saturation, blown highlights etc. etc....- but it certainly proves the adage - the best camera is the one you actually have on you)

They're mostly alright and nice enough... but the first pic in the OP absolutely blows the others right out of the water!!
My opinion only, of course, and I'm biassed because I love woodland, but still - I'd happily put that one on my wall!

Castle on the coast is nice. Boat under the sun is a few simple edits away from being a really nice image with drama and impact.

These are beautiful, for me it's not the quality of the camera that sets them apart as much as the composition though, particularly the first, fifth, and last three.
I love the sunset shots, especially the sailing one. And I also really like the (honey?) bee - great focus. Nice work!
Gorgeous set. I love the natural look, there are many photographers that just blast up the saturation or HDR effect lately.
