I need a reasonable budget flashgun(or LED array) for my D600 and have a budget upto £100 to £120. Its only for the occasional portrait or group shot - I am a bit out of the loop on this,so would appreciate any suggestions! I have been looking at the Godox and Yongnuo flashguns.
Yonguo are fine as are Nissin, I use two Nissin on my macro rig, pretty nice, very fast cycle time, well balanced.
But forget LED !! Terrible.
Agreed on Yongnuo and Nissin - both fine choices if you are avoiding (overpriced) Nikon, Canon, etc type guns. Have used both, own neither but would buy if I needed.
Dunno about LED arrays. I've seen mixed (at best) comments, but never tried 'em.

Any specific models that either of you have used?? Its mostly just for some portrait work,and fill-in flash in backlit conditions.

I've been using Godox for the past two years. Great product! (built in 2.4Ghz is amazing vs say Yongnuo where you need an extra part to trigger)

BTW,I have done some research into NIMH batteries to use too. Apparently the best are Eneloops,which are made in Japan,but it appears many of them are rebadged and can be had cheaper.

Look at the drop down box. The discharge patern are more or less the same for the LADDA and the Fujitsu batteries. The Duracells in theory should be similar,but apparently online retailers can sometimes mix things up so I don't want to take a risk,although this is the pack I am talking about:

There is only one factory in Japan making them,and its owned Fujitsu(well FDK). The Fujitsu packaging:

On the pack it says made by FDK,and the 2450mAH(min)/2550mAH(nominal) capacity corresponds to the slightly older 3rd/4th generation Eneloop Pro packaging which indicates 2450mAH to 2550mAH(dependent on the market).
The Fujitsu was a tad cheaper than the Ikea packs once postage was added(they have gone up a bit now),and I also wanted a newer charger too,and 7dayshop had a better range of those TBH.
If I was near an Ikea I most definitely would have got the LADDA,but IKEA postage is too high(£5 just for two packs of batteries).
Got the Godox the week before last,but 7dayshop took 8 days to deliver the charger and batteries. Did also consider using Ikea and their delivery estimates were worse. I ended up also getting another charger from Amazon.

The Fujitsu battery is pictured next to some I had lying around which have not been used for years. The Energizer is similar capacity and made in Japan,so is most likely an Eneloop and the Panasonic 2100mAh batteries are also made in Japan and are probably Eneloops too. I suspect last time I bought batteries I might have read about Eneloop rebadges but forgotten about it until now!! :p

Also looking at the old batteries further,not so sure about the 2100mAh ones,but the 2500mAh seem to be Eneloops.
I've used Yong-Nuo on Fashion Editorials for magazines without issue before getting battery powered strobes. Have about 8 Yong Nuo speedlights in my backup kit. Very good and a fraction of the price of a canon or Nikon speedlight.
I swear by Energizer high capacity and Enerloop. I use the 1hr single lane chargers
