Yet another 'What New Camera' Thread

hey folks.. need a bit of help before I splash some cash out...

Off to Sri Lanka in 3 weeks, and want to take some good piccies at the Elephant Sanctuary...

Looking for a new camera around the 250~300 mark with a decent zoom.

The Sony H2 looks good with 12x optical zoom and 6mp.. and pixmania have it in for £234.

Also the Panasonic FZ7 looks similar spec with similar price

The Canon S3 IS is stretching the budget a bit, but would be possible if its that much better camera for £70..

so lemme here your suggestions..

I have the FZ7 and quite like it. There are some useful features, manual focus being a big one. I have some pictures I took with it here:

thanks for your help guys... decided on the Sony H2.. ordered from Pixmania tonight, with the 1gb mem stick and batteries.. Should be here in the week and I can start playing with it!
