Canon launched replacement for 20D digital SLR - the 30D

I really should have posted this over here before now, but just in case people haven't seen the info, here's a link to the 30D news posting.

That in turn leads to the release (cleaned up and made legible by me), which has some pics and a link to a PDF file I created of the specs of the 30D.

There's a bunch of Canon-related stuff in the news forums, on account of my going along to bash on Tuesday where the company annouced that it's launching 39 new products - pretty much across the board - and plans to take over the universe.

Other new kit of particular interest hereabouts includes:

* Two low-light lenses (covered briefly in my overview piece - but with more to follow)

* Compact digital cameras (ditto)

* Inkjet printers (including a couple of photo-studio models to die for and a new wireless all-in-one - detailed in a piece that went live today)

* A relatively inexpensive colour laser printer (also covered in the overview)

* A trio of multimedia projectors that - from the short dem I had - give great results (ditto - and with more details to come).

* Some cheap digital camcorders - MiniDV, at £250 and DVD at £400 (ditto)
