    Nikon D50 and Canon 350D

Well, having thought that I might like to jump on the dSLR bandwagon, I did all my readong and popped intop Jessops for a play. The problem is, that no matter how much I think about it, both these cameras and the *ist from Pentax feel, well, cheap. The plastic, hollow feeling shell just made me think that it would feel like I had spent more mony than I should have - my Fuji S5500 feels a lot more solid and sturdily constructed. Anyone else noticed this? Are there any other dSLRs in the very basic range that have a metal body, or feel at all more substantial to hold?

If you consider the D70 an entry DSLR then that probably is the only one. I think the Canon is sturdy than most (entry range) so you would have to spend more to get that feeling. The D50 is a bit too saturated in the result IMO and the review (playback) zooming is purely stupid
